We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our You-Pick Staff at Center Grove Orchard. The primary responsibility of You-Pick staff members is to communicate clearly the expectations of picking apples, sunflowers, or pumpkins. If you enjoy interacting with people by giving out information or upselling products all while working in a fun atmosphere, this role is for you.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a member of our You-Pick Staff, you will:

• Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor
• Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately
• Accurately process payments, issue receipts, and provide change
• Possess a general knowledge of the crops available for You-Pick
• Assist guests by providing information about our crops
• Explain our picking process
• Guide guests through the steps involved with picking their produce
• Keep the area clean and organized

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Willingness to educate yourself about CGO crops
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to handle working in warm and cold conditions
• Understanding of and following cash handling expectations is imperative
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Prior cash handling experience preferred but not required

Wage:

$12/ hr for 14 - 15 year olds

$14/ hr for 16 - 17 year olds

$16/ hr for 18+
