The priority of a tractor driver is to operate a hayride safely and provide a positive interaction with passengers. This person will operate a tractor and trailer ride which will transport guests and employees along a specific route around the farm.



Roles & Responsibilities

As a part of the Tractor Driver role, you will be responsible for:

• Prioritizing the safe operation of the Hayride
• Ensuring the safety and positive interactions of both guests and employees
• Operating a tractor and Hayride to transport guests and employees along a designated route around the farm
• Collaborating with other Tractor Drivers to coordinate Hayride rotations across multiple stops on the farm
• Assisting the Hayride Attendant in safely onboarding and offboarding guests
• Conducting daily inspections of the tractor and Hayride, reporting any issues promptly to either the Farm Mechanic or Owner

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Carry a valid driver's license
• Must attend Center Grove Orchard’s Tractor Driving School
• Must pass Center Grove Orchard’s Driving Evaluation
• Ability to climb up and off Tractors or Hayrides multiple times per day
• Previous experience operating farm equipment or heavy machinery is required
• Able to handle working in warm and cold conditions

Wage:

$19/ hr for 18+
