Employment Type: Hourly position with an expected schedule of approximately 30–38 hours per week.

Pay Range: Competitive rate based on experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: Primarily weekdays.

Position Overview

The Farm Maintenance & Equipment Operator is responsible for supporting the operational backbone of the farm by maintaining equipment, managing grounds, and assisting with field preparation and planting work. This role ensures the farm runs efficiently by keeping equipment in working order and maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept production areas. This position works closely with Ownership and the Field Operations crew.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

·        Operate tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, and other farm equipment safely and efficiently

·        Perform routine maintenance including fueling, greasing, cleaning, and basic repairs

·        Identify and report mechanical issues; assist with repairs as needed

·        Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment storage areas

Grounds & Property Maintenance

·        Mow, trim, and maintain farm grounds, roadways, and production areas

·        Ensure fields, work areas, and surrounding spaces are clean and well-kept

·        Assist with general upkeep of farm infrastructure, fencing, and workspaces

Field & Operational Support

·        Prepare fields for planting including tillage, bed prep, and layout support

·        Assist with material handling such as soil, mulch, plants, and supplies

·        Support seasonal transitions (spring setup, fall breakdown, etc.)

·        Assist with special projects, builds, or infrastructure improvements

·        Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
