Flower Program Lead

Employment Type: Hourly position with an expected schedule of approximately 30–40 hours per week

Pay Range: Competitive rate based on experience and qualifications

Work Schedule: Primarily weekdays

Position Overview

Triple M Farm Mariah’s Mums & More, LLC is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Flower Program Lead to oversee and support the production, care, and display of our greenhouse flowers & plants, cut flower beds, and fall mums. This role also includes contributing to floral merchandising, seasonal planning, and customer-facing experiences like bouquet bars and floral arranging workshops.


The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in growing flowers, a strong sense of visual design, and the ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment. Floral design or event/workshop experience is a major bonus, as we expand our offerings in farm-based experiences, educational events, season extension, and greenhouse capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities


Flower Production

·        Oversee the care, maintenance, productivity, harvest, and post production duties of the following floral programs: greenhouse flowers & plants, cut flowers, and fall mums

·        Organize and assist the Farm Operations Manager with planting preparation, seeding, transplanting, fertilizing, pest/disease/weed management activities

·        Monitor floral program health and growing conditions; communicate any issues or improvements needed to the Farm Operations Manager and/or ownership

·        Assist with greenhouse setup, organization, and seasonal transitions

 

Harvest & Floral Merchandising

·        Design floral arrangements for retail sales or special orders

·        Work with the Retail Manager and/or ownership to create and maintain fresh floral displays for retail sales

·        Maintain clean and organized areas for u-cut/u-pick experiences, bouquet bars, subscriptions, retail sales, and events

 

Customer Experience & Workshops

·        Assist ownership with or lead on-farm floral arranging workshops or private events

·        Support the setup and facilitation of floral-based experiences or events

 

Team & Communication

·        Provide direction to seasonal crew helping in the flower field or greenhouse

·        Help train team members on proper harvesting, handling, and bouquet making techniques

·        Collaborate with ownership to plan seasonal flower offerings and schedules

·        Communicate needs for tools, supplies, seed orders, inventory and/ or workshop materials to the Farm Operations Manager and/or ownership

·        Communicate new product recommendations, trends, and/or event/customer feedback to ownership

·        Collaborate with ownership to support marketing tactics

·        Assist with cross-functional tasks and support other team members during peak seasons, events, or when requested by ownership

·        

Preferred Qualifications

·        Hands-on experience in flower farming, greenhouse management, or horticulture

·        Knowledge of flower varieties, post-harvest handling, and growing techniques

·        Bonus: Experience with floral arranging or teaching floral design workshops

·        Strong organizational and time management skills

·        Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively

·        Strong eye for design and attention to detail

·        Entrepreneurial approach to continuous improvement

·        Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather

·        Comfortable lifting/moving/transporting products

·        Ability to stand or walk on feet for extended periods

·        Comfortable working weekends and extended hours if necessary

·        Passion for local flowers, community engagement, and seasonal beauty

Physical Requirements

·        Ability to work outdoors for extended periods during the spring & summer months

·        Comfortable performing manual labor
