Position Overview
Triple M Farm | Mariah’s Mums & More, LLC is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and hands-on Assistant Farm Manager / Flower Program Lead to support the day-to-day operations of our farm while taking primary responsibility for the production, care, quality, and presentation of our flower programs.
This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys both growing beautiful products and helping keep a working farm organized, productive, and moving forward. Working closely with the Farm Operations Manager and ownership, this individual will assist with daily farm operations, seasonal planning, crew direction, greenhouse production, crop care, inventory and supplies, and overall farm readiness.
As the Flower Program Lead, this position will oversee and support our greenhouse flowers and plants, cut flower beds, and signature fall mums from planting and crop care through harvest, post-harvest handling, merchandising, and customer experiences. This role will help bring our vision to life as we continue growing Triple M Farm Mariah's Mums & More into a true flower destination known for beautiful, high-quality plants, inspiring displays, and memorable experiences.
The role also contributes to floral merchandising, seasonal planning, bouquet bars, floral arranging workshops, private events, and other opportunities that connect our customers with locally grown flowers. The ideal candidate is a dependable, proactive leader and problem-solver who is comfortable balancing hands-on farm work with planning, organization, and team leadership. This individual should have experience growing and caring for flowers and plants, is highly detail-oriented, and a strong eye for quality, visual design, and presentation. Experience with farm operations, greenhouse management, floral design, events, or workshops is a major plus.
Key Responsibilities
Assistant Farm Management & Operations
- Assist the Farm Operations Manager and ownership with day-to-day farm operations, priorities, and seasonal work plans.
- Help coordinate daily tasks and provide direction to seasonal and part-time team members.
- Support planting, field preparation, seeding, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, harvesting, and general crop maintenance across the farm.
- Monitor farm conditions and proactively identify operational, crop, equipment, or facility needs.
- Help maintain organized, clean, safe, and efficient work areas, including greenhouses, production spaces, fields, storage areas, and customer-facing farm spaces.
- Assist with greenhouse setup, seasonal transitions, farm opening and closing activities, and preparation for special events.
- Help monitor tools, supplies, growing materials, and inventory and communicate purchasing or maintenance needs to the Farm Operations Manager and/or ownership.
- Step into additional operational responsibilities when the Farm Operations Manager or ownership is unavailable or as business needs require.

Flower Production & Program Leadership
- Take primary responsibility for the care, maintenance, productivity, harvest, and post-production needs of the farm’s floral programs, including greenhouse flowers and plants, cut flowers, and fall mums.
- Plan and organize flower production activities in collaboration with the Farm Operations Manager and ownership.
- Assist with planting preparation, seeding, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, pinching, and pest, disease, and weed management.
- Monitor crop health, growing conditions, timing, and quality throughout the season.
- Identify potential crop issues early and communicate recommended solutions or improvements to the Farm Operations Manager and/or ownership.
- Help develop planting schedules, crop plans, variety selections, and succession planting strategies to improve production and extend the flower season.
- Maintain accurate organization of flower-related supplies, seeds, plant material, and production needs.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve flower quality, efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Harvest & Floral Merchandising
- Oversee proper harvesting and post-harvest handling to maximize flower quality and vase life.
- Design bouquets and floral arrangements for retail sales, subscriptions, special orders, events, and other farm offerings.
- Collaborate with the Retail Manager and ownership to create and maintain attractive, fresh floral displays.
- Maintain clean, organized, and customer-ready areas for u-cut/u-pick experiences, bouquet bars, subscriptions, retail sales, workshops, and events.
- Help develop seasonal floral products and displays that reinforce the Triple M Farm Mariah's Mums & More brand and customer experience.
- Monitor product quality and presentation to ensure flowers and plants consistently meet farm standards.
Customer Experience & Workshops
- Assist ownership with—or lead—on-farm floral arranging workshops, bouquet bars, private events, and other floral experiences.
- Support the setup, facilitation, and cleanup of floral-based experiences and events.
- Engage positively with customers and help create welcoming, educational, and memorable farm experiences.
- Share customer feedback, product requests, and ideas that could strengthen future floral offerings and experiences.
Team Leadership & Communication
- Provide clear direction and hands-on support to seasonal crew members working in flower fields, greenhouses, and other assigned farm areas.
- Help train team members on proper planting, crop care, harvesting, post-harvest handling, bouquet making, and product quality standards.
- Work closely with the Farm Operations Manager, Retail Manager, ownership, and other team members to coordinate priorities and seasonal needs.
- Communicate needs for tools, supplies, seeds, plants, inventory, equipment, and workshop materials in a timely manner.
- Communicate new product recommendations, floral trends, production opportunities, and customer or event feedback to ownership.
- Collaborate with ownership to support marketing initiatives by identifying photo opportunities, seasonal highlights, new products, and educational content.
- Assist with cross-functional tasks and support other team members during peak seasons, events, or as requested by ownership.
- Lead by example through a positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to jump in where needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in farm operations, flower farming, greenhouse management, horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
- Experience leading employees, seasonal crews, or volunteers is preferred.
- Knowledge of flower varieties, growing techniques, crop care, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Experience with greenhouse production and/or seasonal crop planning is strongly preferred.
- Bonus: Experience with floral arranging, retail floral merchandising, events, or teaching floral design workshops.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Self-starter who can prioritize responsibilities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt when farm conditions or priorities change.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods during spring, summer, and fall in variable weather conditions.
- Comfortable performing regular manual labor associated with farm and greenhouse operations.
- Ability to lift, move, load, and transport plants, flowers, supplies, and other farm products.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in greenhouse environments and outdoor growing areas.
- Availability for occasional weekends, events, and extended hours during peak production and retail seasons.
